JURY PAY Pursuant to Judiciary Law §519, Jurors will be paid $40.00
for each day of physical attendance with the following exceptions: No payment is made to jurors who are employed and who receive
their regular wages from their employers during their term of jury
service. No payment is made to jurors for the first 3 days of jury
service IF they are employed by an employer who has more
than 10 employees. Such employers are prohibited by law from withholding
the first $40.00 of daily wages during the first 3 days of jury service,
regardless of whether the employee is part time or
full time. *Part time employees earning less than $40.00 per day should inform the jury office of the amount of wages earned, since the State of NY will pay the difference.
